Google said Tuesday it will require users to allow the company to follow their activities across e-mail, search, YouTube and other services, a radical shift in strategy. Google is doing this in the name of providing a better experience, tailored to your interests.
For instance, if you were to search for information on your favorite football team, you could find the next time you peruse YouTube you see advertising for that particular team.
What bothers me the most is Gmail. I have know for quite a while that if you send email to a gmail acccount with others CC’d on that email, Google stores all those CC’d email addresses.
I like Google products a lot, but this does make me pause for a moment. How about you? Are you using Google products, and if so, would this stop you from using their products?
