Facebook is going to change your business page timeline on March 30, 2012. Make sure to read Facebook’s Guidelines for the cover art. They do have some restrictions.
You can preview your page in the new timeline prior to the change.

If you haven’t heard by now your Facebook timeline IS going to change within a week or two. Almost everyone I’ve asked is upset about the change. Unfortunately, there’s not much you can do about it.
Some things to be aware of will be the increased number of status updates in all caps demanding to know how to go back to the previous timeline. Not going to happen.
Also be aware of the potential scams that will pop up with links for you to click, which will likely take you to sites with malware ready for your computer. Don’t click the links!
The timeline is here to stay. The new timeline will make it easier for your friends to find your status updates, photos and shares from years ago. No more scrolling, reloading and scrolling more to find what happened in 2008. With one click you’ll see it. Now is the time to clean up your profiles, getting rid of pics and other content you may not want easily accessed.

Last week Facebook made major changes to the news feed and is about to make changes to your personal profile page. Mari Smith, long known to be an expert on Facebook and relationship marketing, held a webinar to explain those changes. This is the audio and the slides are below the audio buttons.
This week Facebook gave us a new feature to help share our content with a larger Facebook community. You can now “tag” pages in your photos. The example given in the article from FacebookFlow, Tag Fan Pages in Your Facebook Photos, talks about a woman holding a Coca Cola drink and tagging the can with Coca Cola’s page. You can tag a photo with a page without being a “fan” of the page.
So what does this do for you and your online visibility? It puts your photo into the “news feed” of the product or business’ page, giving you more visibility. So how could you use it to promote your business? I’d love to hear your ideas!
